On January 4-November 26, 2016, the South Jakarta Population and Civil Registration Sub-dept has served 53,978 applicants of birth certificate or 99.65 percent of target Key Performance Indicator (KPI).

Such number is the result of services provided at the counter of urban village, sub-district, Population and Civil Registration offices, sub-district community health centers, Pasar Minggu General Hospitals (RSUD), including the jemput bola service.

Head of South Jakarta Population and Civil Registration Sub-dept, Sapto Wibowo disclosed, the birth certificate service is to support the Child-Friendly City. Additionally, service that given to residents is not selective, as long as the applicant has completed requirements thus it will be processed and maximum of five working days is finished. 

Based on the data gathered, from 53,978 applicants, 53,789 out of them have been issued and the rest are still being processed. Further, the number of birth certificate for children aged of 0-18 years old is around 90 percent.

"Commonly, the adult already started to process birth certificate, because they have no birth certificate, parents marriage certificate, almost all of the terms are incomplete," he stated, Monday (11/28).

Further, birth certificate service refers to Home Ministry Regulation Number 9/2016 on Acceleration the Improvement Coverage Owners of Birth Certificate. Hence, he continued, it is targeted birth certificate service in South Jakarta to reach 100 percent by the end of November.
